Sustainability is increasingly important for our customers and we can reassure you that quality, environment and energy efficiency have been part of the nobilia philosophy from the very beginning. Every nobilia kitchen meets stringent international quality, environment and energy guidelines.

Only kitchen furniture that has passed all of nobilia’s qualification tests in their testing laboratory will be included one of their collections. Regular product audits, reviews of the unloading process and any returned shipments mean that their high-quality products are consistently assured. That’s why we can confidently give our clients delivery dates when we order their new designer kitchen.

Nobilia’s commitment to sustainability includes greenhouse gas emissions. In 2016 the DGM (German quality control association) launched the ‘Climate Agreement for the Furniture Industry’ and Nobilia is an established member.

To reduce and ideally neutralise the company’s CO2 footprint they work hard to publicise and raise awareness of the issues. nobilia’s kitchen furniture was awarded the highest emissions class of A by the DGM.

In 2009 nobilia was the first kitchen manufacturer to be certified in accordance with PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes).

nobilia takes responsibility for how the valuable raw wood it uses is handled and documented. Their timber products come from sustainably managed semi-natural forests and carefully controlled sources.

In 2012 nobilia was the first and, to date, only kitchen furniture manufacturer to be awarded the environmental Blue Angel award. This means that the German Federal Environmental Agency recognises that the company not only protects consumers, it also promotes environmental and health protection.

This includes packaging and the whole dispatch process which is handled by the CO2-neutral GOGREEN services of the German postal service and DHL. This allows nobilia to offset the CO2 emissions created during transport. The company also ensures that all packaging is collected and recycled.
